The importance of bearing seals

Sealing parts are extremely important for bearings. If there is a problem in the sealing part, the pressure on the bearing sealing test is very high, especially for the pressure test without a rod cavity. As a result, this type of pressure test is usually carried out after carefully assembling the cylinder before entering the commissioning stage of the assembly machine. The bearing sealing test is based on the assembly and reliability assessment of the seal part and joint of the assembled cylinder, such as cylinder nozzle sealing and connection, cylinder piston up, static seal and sealing condition, etc.

Why is there noise in the bearing? I

1. Fatigue peeling
On the raceway or rolling body surface of the rolling bearing, the surface metal of the contact surface is peeling off and gradually expands to form a dent because of bearing the alternating load. If it continues to run, it will form big peeling area. Due to improper installation or the inclination of the center line of the bearing seat and the axis, the local area of the bearing will bear larger load and then appears early fatigue damage.
2. Crack and fracture
 If the material has defects and heat treatment is not proper, the interference amount is too large and the combination design is improper, it will cause stress concentration and then the ring crack and fracture will be formed.
3. Indentation
When the external material enters the bearing between the rolling body and the raceway, the rolling surface can be indented. In addition, excessive impact load can also lead to plastic deformation of the contact surface and then the formation of pits. When the bearing is still, even if the load is very small, uniformly distributed pit will be formed in the raceway due to the vibration of the surrounding environment.

How to maintain the slewing bearing of crane?

Check the bolts on the slewing bearing
1. check the bolts on the slewing bearing visually before each operation of the crane.
2. After the operation of the slewing bearing for the first 100 working hours, we should check whether the bolt is loose or not; check again when operating for 300 working hours; check every 500 working hours thereafter. If bolt is found loose in inspection, please stop the operation and ask the professional technician to check.
3. Fill the slewing bearing with lithium grease before installation.
4. When changing bolts, wipe them clean and fasten them after using retainer; use cranes according to operation manual and lifting performance table; check fastening bolts as required.
Regular check of slewing bearing
1. Check the flexibility of rotation regularly. If noise and impact are found, we should should stop the machine immediately and do troubleshooting.
2. Check whether there are cracks or breakage in the gear ring. 
3. Check the seal condition regularly. If the seal is damaged, replace it in time.
